2 Personal data
Personal data is any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person. The basic personal data is your name. However, your gender, date of birth, address, profession, email address and IP address are also considered personal data. Non-personal data, on the other hand, is data that makes it impossible to determine your actual identity or at least requires considerable effort to do so. This includes, for example, the aforementioned information if we receive it anonymously or under a pseudonym and therefore cannot attribute it to a natural person.
3 Principle of anonymity
When using the Eurobaustoff websites, you remain anonymous to us as long as you do not voluntarily provide us with personal data by writing to us via our contact form, using our advice tools or applying to us via our online application form.
4 Provision of personal data
The provision of personal data is neither legally nor contractually required for the use of the Eurobaustoff websites, nor is it necessary for the conclusion of a contract. You are not obliged to provide any personal data. However, you cannot visit the Eurobaustoff websites without transmitting the IP address you are using.
5 Processing of personal data
5.1 We automatically collect and record the following data each time you visit the Eurobaustoff websites
- Country of origin
- requesting domain
- web browser used
- operating system used
- Notification of successful and unsuccessful retrieval
- Entry and exit pages
- amount of data transferred
- Date and time of the request
- Name of the requested file
- IP address of the requesting computer
This data is stored on our web server for a standard period of 4 weeks and then automatically deleted. Any further storage in log files does not take place. The above-mentioned storage period is necessary to fulfil our own legitimate interest and the legally prescribed compliance with data security.
5.2 Otherwise, we only process your personal data if you voluntarily provide it to us and this is permitted by law or you have given your consent. We use the personal data provided by you exclusively for the purposes communicated in this data protection declaration or expressly agreed with you.
5.3 We commission various service providers to support us in the provision, operation and maintenance of our IT systems, including the Eurobaustoff websites. These include, for example, hardware and software suppliers, service providers such as web agencies, hosting providers or data centres. If such service providers work on our behalf, they may receive access to your personal data as recipients. However, these service providers are then also contractually obliged to comply with data protection via a so-called order processing agreement; the statutory provisions on data protection also apply to our service providers in any case.
5.4 Your personal data will not be passed on, sold or otherwise transferred to third parties. Anything else only applies if this is necessary for the fulfilment of the communicated or agreed purposes and is permitted under applicable data protection law without consent, if you have expressly consented or if we are legally obliged to do so. Section 5.3 naturally remains unaffected and applies independently of this section 5.4.
5.5 The personal data provided by you on the Eurobaustoff websites or collected by us will not be used for automated decision-making.
6 Revocation of consent
6.1 Within the framework of the statutory provisions, you have the option at any time to withdraw your consent to the processing of your personal data for the future. To do so, please contact the office named in section 11 below.
6.2 We would like to point out that the processing of your personal data, which we have carried out on the basis of your consent until your revocation, is not affected by the revocation and remains lawful.
7 Right to information, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, objection and data portability
Within the framework of the statutory provisions, you have the right to obtain information from us about your personal data processed by us, as well as the right to rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, objection to processing and data portability. For the exact conditions under which you are entitled to the aforementioned rights, please refer to Articles 15 to 21 GDPR and Sections 34, 35 and 37 of the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG). If you wish to exercise one or more of the aforementioned rights, please also get in touch with the contact persons listed in section 11.
8 Right to lodge a complaint
Within the framework of the statutory provisions, you have the right to contact the competent supervisory authority with complaints regarding data protection. The State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information Baden-Württemberg is responsible for us, which you can reach together with the supervisory authority via the website https://www.baden-wuerttemberg.datenschutz.de/.
9 Use of cookies
9.1 We use so-called cookies on the Eurobaustoff websites. These are small text files that are stored on your end device (PC, smartphone, tablet, etc.). Most of the cookies we use are deleted from your drive (hard drive, solid-state disc, flash memory, etc.) at the end of the browser session (so-called session cookies). Other cookies remain on your end device and enable us to recognise your end device on your next visit (so-called persistent cookies). We also use cookies from third-party providers that allow them to process personal data about you and possibly merge the information obtained with other data that these third-party providers have already stored about you or collected from you during your use of the third-party services.
9.2 As soon as you visit the Eurobaustoff websites, you will receive a notice about the use of cookies. Notwithstanding this notice, the following cookies are set:
- cookieconsent_dismissed: saves the confirmation of the cookie notice. This controls the display of the notice. No personal data is stored in the cookie.
- fe_typo_user: ### : This is a session cookie that guarantees the current connection to the server. An IP for recognising the visitor is not stored.
9.3 The legal basis for our use of cookies is our legitimate interest in customising our web presence on the Eurobaustoff websites (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR).
9.4 In the security settings of your browser, you can view and delete the stored cookies at any time and restrict or prohibit the acceptance of cookies.
9.5 When using third-party services on the Eurobaustoff websites (e.g. YouTube videos) or when you click on a link, third-party cookies may be used without our express warning. In the security settings of your browser, you can also view and delete these stored cookies at any time and restrict or prohibit the acceptance of cookies.
10 IT security
We take various technical and organisational security measures to protect the integrity and confidentiality of your personal data. To this end, your personal data is encrypted during transmission using Transport Layer Security (TLS) (formerly Secure Socket Layer technology (SSL)). This means that communication between your computer and the servers of the Eurobaustoff websites takes place using a recognised encryption method that is considered secure in its current version. If your browser supports TLS, the transmission of personal data is protected by this function. In this case, most browsers will show you whether the security protocol is supported by means of a short dialogue box or a graphic symbol. You can find further information in the help function of your browser.
11 Use of Matomo
11.1 We use the open source web analysis service Matomo (formerly Piwik) on the Eurobaustoff websites. Matomo is provided by InnoCraft Ltd, 150 Willis St, 6011 Wellington, New Zealand, contact@innocraft.com.
11.2 The legal basis for our use of Matomo is our legitimate interest in designing our web presence on the Eurobaustoff websites in line with requirements and optimising it for user behaviour (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR).
11.3 Matomo uses so-called cookies as described in section 9, which are stored on your computer and enable us to analyse the use of the Eurobaustoff websites. For this purpose, the usage information generated by the cookie (including your IP address shortened by 6 digits) is transmitted to our server and stored there for usage analysis purposes so that we can optimise the website. Your IP address is immediately pseudonymised during this process (see section 11.4), so that you as a user generally remain unknown to us and are not identified. A combination with other data that we may have stored about you does not take place. The information generated by the cookie about your use of the Eurobaustoff websites will not be passed on to third parties. You can prevent the use of this and other cookies by selecting the appropriate settings in your browser software. However, in this case you may not be able to use all the functions of the Eurobaustoff websites to their full extent.
11.4 The "anonymiseIP" plug-in has been activated in Matomo on the Eurobaustoff websites. The use of this code leads to an anonymous recording of your IP address through so-called IP masking. The last 6 ( 192.168.XXX.XXX ) digits of your IP address are set to zero.
11.5 If you do not agree to the storage and analysis of this data from your visit to the Eurobaustoff websites, you can object to the storage and use of this data at any time by clicking below. In this case, a so-called opt-out cookie will be stored in your browser, which means that Matomo will not collect any session data. Please note that the opt-out cookie will also be deleted if you delete your cookies. You must then reactivate the deleted opt-out cookie if you want it to take effect.
11.6 Objection
Please note that the Matomo deactivation cookie on this website will also be deleted if you remove the cookies stored in your browser. In addition, if you use a different computer or a different web browser, you will have to complete the deactivation procedure again.
11.7 The user data collected with Matomo (formerly Piwik) is stored for a period of 24 months and then deleted.
