For two years in a row, the EUROBAUSTOFF FORUM could only take place digitally due to the pandemic. It was therefore all the better that the event was finally able to take place in person again this year.
A total of 8,700 participants visited exhibition halls 6 and 7 at the Koelnmesse on 13 and 14 November – once again topping the number of visitors to the last FORUM in person in 2019. Visitors had the opportunity to find out about the products and services of around 500 exhibitors on an exhibition area of 35,000 m².
The thematic highlights of the trade fair this year included the concept stand for the specialist store 2.0, the 25th anniversary of the Prima retail brand and the presentation of the new household concept for retailers.
The main topics in 2022:
Specialist store 2.0
One focal point was the concept stand for the specialist store 2.0, which presented the high level of retail expertise of EUROBAUSTOFF on a gross exhibition area of 600 m² (net sales area 250 m²).
The portfolio of the specialist store concept was ideally tailored to generalists and offers the possibility of easily integrating existing EUROBAUSTOFF concepts – such as the branded machinery shop, workwear shop and the promotional concept.

25 years of the retail brand Prima
Happy birthday, Prima! Our retail brand is celebrating its 25th anniversary and was therefore prominently presented within the FORUM Procurement & Purchasing stand with a focus on home products in the form of walk-on flooring areas and sales-promoting exhibition displays.
However, the Prima ranges "My Bathroom", "My Garden" and the "How Professionals Build" processing division were also presented in an eye-catching way with detailed live constructions and interesting displays for your market.
Visitors were also able to find out about the brand's extensive sales promotion programme on site.
AusstellungDigital
At the AusstellungDigital stand, visitors were able to gain an impression of the pioneering digital form of product presentation. AusstellungDigital combines the strengths of bricks-and-mortar retail with the advantages of the Internet. Customers have the opportunity to look at product samples in real life and experience their effect in digital room simulations. On top of this, there is also lots of additional information, atmospheric film sequences and helpful processing tips. The result is a shopping experience that perfectly combines digital and local!
The latest highlight of the AusstellungDigital was also presented at the trade fair: The AI tool in the interior and/or exterior configurator allows customers to upload their own photos and for example try out different floor coverings in their own four walls.
Household product range
The household product range is more diverse than almost any other, consists largely of impulse purchases and is more strongly positioned in bricks-and-mortar than online retail. In order to utilise this sales potential, EUROBAUSTOFF developed three concept sizes and presented the largest of these on a gross exhibition area of 380 m² (net sales area 195 m²) at this year's FORUM. Visitors could look forward to many innovations – both in the product range and in shelving technology.
Trainee competition
As every year, the trainee competition was the highlight of the trade fair for the next generation of the industry. The programme included the award ceremony for the trainees of the year 2022, who received a prize of €2,000. Another highlight was the trainee rally, in which 430 trainees from the cooperation's affiliated companies took part. The aim of the competition was to engage in dialogue with the trade fair participants and gather specialist knowledge.
